I was Trying to Make an egg Pancake

Friday noon, I suddenly felt like making an egg pancake, and I decided to make it in a new way I learned from Gordon Ramsay.

The old method was to mix everything together, and then pour them all into the pan. However, this time, I decided to try adding the egg&flour mixture later. The differences were that I did not need to cut potatos in very tiny pieces and try so hard to make the texture right. And most of all, the inside part of the pancake would have

much more flavor.

So I began. The only things I could find in my fridge were potatos, squash, milk, and eggs. But if you are cooking, you certainly could add whatever vegetables and meat you like, as long as they go with each other.

MY RECIPE

Step One: Cut onions, garlic, potatos, squash into small pieces.

Step Two: Break two eggs into a bowl and stir them well. Then add milk, wheat flour, and black pepper& salt, and stir.

Step Three: Stir-fry Garlic & Onions with Potatos & Squash. Add spices like cumin seeds, red pepper, black pepper, and curry power. Add half tea spoon of suger and appropriate amount of salt based on your personal taste. Add several spoons of water when it becomes too dry.

Step Four: When you feel that the oil on the bottom is almost over, add the milk, egg& flour mixture slowly into the pan.

Step Five (Crucial!): Unlike making other pancakes in which we only spread a thin layer over the pan, the egg pancake here is quite thick. So in order to make a perfect pancake, we need to put it in an oven for around 30 minutes. It will turn out like this:

However, if nobody is around you and you will eat whatever you make alone, I think you may consider skip the last step. Cover the pan with a lid, and wait for around 10 more minutes for the eggs to be (mostly) cooked. And when you eat, it looks like this:

Should I say, it tasted even better?  Okay, I know, my recipe is for the laziest. But It doesn't look that bad.

  1. Yum!! This looks absolutely delicious, and it certainly didn't look very difficult to make either. I'll have to try it later this week. I also love the pictures that go with the steps of making it; it'll make repeating the recipe myself that much easier.
